Manufacturing

After cutting, the glass passes to the manufacturing area, where the edges are made to the required finishing levels and various transformations such as holes and notches are processed.

Edges

3 Process phases: grinding, polishing and washing

Edge grinding of monolithic and laminated glass.
Stability of the glass when placed in the machine allows for high precision edge grinding.
Constant and automatic measurement of the height, length, and thickness of the glass, without the need for any manual adjustment.
Installed work centers are designed to handle large workloads, ensuring high productivity.
At the end of each work cycle, a dry air cleaning system manages the removal of any residual moisture.
Automatic system that checks the wear of the tools, is used to avoid any risk that prolonged use could lead to a reduction in quality in the finished product.

Drilling

Maximum width: 1600mm
Maximum drilling dimension: 60mm

Drilling is drilling a hole into the glass using a special drill bit that allows the glass to be drilled in such a way that it is not damaged.
Vitropor provides glass drilling machinery with numerical control, capable of performing drilling, milling, and slotting operations on flat glass, including special shapes.
The work cycle is completely automatic, so it requires no manual intervention.
The numerical control optimizes the approach and drilling speed, controls the glass transport feed and water quantity, and adjusts the drill height to compensate for drill wear until it is replaced.
